Academic Integrity and Publication Ethics Policy

The editorial policy of the professional journal is directed at adhering to the approaches of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), ensuring independence of editorial decisions, the existence of clear manuscript review procedures, objective assessment of the content of scientific articles, and determination of their compliance with the requirements of a scholarly publication.

Compliance with academic integrity in the work of the editorial board entails:

– observance of copyright and related rights legislation;

– ensuring proper attribution of information sources when ideas, developments, statements, and data are used;

– providing accurate information on research methods, findings, and sources consulted;

– preventing conflicts of interest between editorial board members, reviewers, and authors during the review and decision-making process regarding the publication of materials;

– objective evaluation of scientific research results;

– observance of the confidentiality principle with regard to manuscript content, review results, and the personal data of authors and reviewers;

– ensuring transparency and scientific validity of editorial decisions.

Responsibility for compliance with academic integrity rests with authors and reviewers.

Where violations of academic integrity are identified in submitted manuscripts, they are not admitted for further consideration, and the authors are notified in writing accordingly.

All articles are checked for textual borrowings using the specialised software StrikePlagiarism.

All forms of academic misconduct – including plagiarism, self-plagiarism, fabrication or falsification of data, image manipulation, misrepresentation of authorship, or concealed conflict of interest – are unacceptable.

Where violations of academic integrity are identified, the editorial board is guided by the principles of evidence-based and proportionate decision-making. Possible measures include refusal of publication, retraction of an article, publication of a correction notice, or notification of the author's institution. The procedure for handling such cases is transparent and documented.

Responsibility for plagiarism rests with the author(s) of the article. Authors whose names appear in the publication share collective responsibility and accountability for the results.
