Retraction procedure (article withdrawal policy)
The retraction of articles in professional publications of Category "B" is based on the recommendations of COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) and the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine on academic integrity.
The withdrawal of an article from publication is carried out by publishing a notice and informing readers that the article contains deficiencies or erroneous information – that is, where any of the following has been identified: plagiarism; publication in multiple outlets; falsification or fabrication in the work (e.g., manipulation of experimental data); serious errors that cast doubt on its scholarly value or fundamentally alter the research findings; incorrect authorship composition (inclusion of persons who do not meet authorship criteria, or omission of a person who merits authorship); a concealed conflict of interest; or other violations of publication ethics.
Withdrawal of an article is carried out on the basis of an official request from the journal's editorial board, the author, or third parties. A commission examines evidence of violations or critical errors that render the article's conclusions invalid. Where the violation is confirmed, the Editor-in-Chief makes the decision on retraction.
Retraction procedure:
– if the author(s) decide to withdraw an article (having identified an error), they contact the editorial board with a substantiated request;
– if the decision is that of the editorial board, the Editor-in-Chief notifies the author(s) of the withdrawal, stating the reason and the date of withdrawal in the letter.
The article remains on the website within the relevant issue, marked as "RETRACTED".
A Retraction Note explaining the reasons is published in the print/electronic version of the journal.
The article itself remains in the archive, but a watermark "RETRACTED" is applied to each page of the PDF file. The text of the article is not deleted in full, in order to preserve the transparency of scholarly discussion.
Database notification
The editorial board notifies relevant scientometric databases (Index Copernicus) and the V. I. Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine of the retraction in order to update the publication's status.
